The ATV Forwarding Arch is tough, light structure meant for carrying logs up to 24 inches in diameter and a ton (2000lb) of weight. Easy for one man to handle, it is designed for use behind an ATV (or John Deere Gator, or any riding lawnmower or pickup truck). Logs are picked up and carried by a 3/8 choker cable and a 3200 lb 2-speed hand winch. Quick and easy to use, the choker system can carry large single logs or multiple smaller stems. The ATV arch can also be used off the vehicle in a remote situation, where it is supported and steered by a trailer dolly and perhaps pulled out of a back yard with a winch. In the intended use, it is the fastest, simplest and most cost effective method for moving lots of logs, with very little impact as in wildland-urban interface situations or small acreage low impact logging.
