The Gate Arch is of
a different geometry than our other
arches, in that the arch is shorter than
the wheels are tall. These are some
tall tires, but then again the arch
isn’t that big; with the outside of the
wheels at 35inches in width. When the
arch is inverted it becomes a tremendous
hauler of brush and branches, with the
addition of our brush package that adds
another set of Bunks, two sets of Stakes
and an extension handle we call the
Gooseneck. The Gooseneck changes the
handle height for ergonomic handling of
logs in arch mode and again a great
handle height for hauling brush.
The Gate Arch is very
specifically made to fit through 36” gates
with room to spare. It will pick up logs
very easily up to 20” in diameter and carry
them just a couple inches off the ground for
lawn applications. The effort to lift the
logs is minimal and the tall tires roll very
easily. The lifting is accomplished with a
choker chain and is pulled up tight into the
arch with an over-centering action. The
load capacity is 1 ton of weight, though it
is unlikely that a log of that weight would
be 20”dia. The Arch is engineered to stand
up to anything and we stand behind it for a
lifetime of use.
The Gate Arch is the only device of it’s
kind, and it can be used for both logs and
brush. When the arch is flipped over inside
it’s tall tires, it becomes a cradle and,
with the addition of our brush package, can
haul a tremendous amount of brush in one
load – through the same gate. The Brush
package includes another set of “Bunks” like
the arch becomes when inverted, as well as
Stakes that extend the cradle to nearly
6feet in height. This is as much brush as
you can pile into a pickup truck and all of
it can travel through the gate and out to
the chipper. |
