Additional Information

The HUGO is our largest arch, primarily designed for tree service work with very large logs.  Many situations occur in Tree Service work where a very large backyard tree needs to be removed and it is preferred to leave the log whole for salvage value or the savings of time and labor.  The HUGO is assembled with pins from three sections; the Arch, the Reach and the drop Tongue.  Together in its basic configuration, the HUGO is 74” tall, 96” wide and 189” long, with a weight of 705 lb.  With the pin connections, it is quick to shorten the HUGO by removing the reach section, for short logs or large stumps, or configured with a reach out one end and the Drop Tongue at the other.  Though the FFP arches are not DOT approved highway log transport devices, the logs can be securely winched into the arch and held with secondary chains for safety.

The HUGO can accept several options, such as power winches, electric brakes, light bars and straddle mount double battery boxes for effective power assist work.  Though the HUGO is a very large arch, it can be handled off of a vehicle, by placing the hitch on a trailer dolly and walking it into place.  Since the HUGO (and other FFP arches) are wider than most gates, it is pleasant to know that they can be “pirouetted through gates one wheel at a time, if the situation calls for it.
